About Us
The Highriders Off-Road Club is a society of 4x4 enthusiasts that began forming around 1998. We are a family oriented club with no membership dues and come from all walks of life. We have very few rules and accept all makes and models of 4WD vehicles from stock to highly modified, some of our members don’t even own trucks but enjoy camping and other forms of recreation. Our meetings are informal and usually take place around the campfire with a laid-back non-political attitude.

Highrider members have taken on some of North Americas most challenging trails and competitions and have been featured in publications and television. We are not "web wheelers" You will find Highriders year round on the trail and at competitions.. Based mainly in Red Deer Alberta we have members across Canada.
We can also be seen entertaining the 4 wheel drive community at other events with the giant movie screen featuring our own 4x4 DVD productions.

The Highriders Challenge & Tail Creek Race Way

Our annual event The Highriders Challenge has grown to be one of Canada's biggest and is recognized as the toughest. The best teams come from across the country for a chance to put their names on The HRC Cup. Each year the event grows in size and excitement.

In 2007 the Highriders became the custodians of Tail Creek Race Way located near the village of Alix. As well as securing a permanent home for the Challenge the club now has a get-away play ground. We have also entered into partnerships to bring other types of exciting Off Road Racing to the Park. We are determined to make the Race Way the number one off-road destination.

Land Use
Highriders are extremely concerned with trail closures, and other issues that adversely impact 4-wheeling. We perform trail clean-ups, host charity events and support many different organizations focused on education regarding safe and ethical off-roading. We strive to leave our recreation areas in a better condition then we found them and practice responsible wheeling.

We support the following organizations.
Alberta Four Wheel Drive Association
Alberta United Recreationist Society

Recreational Trail Rides
We began as a small group of off-road enthusiasts enjoying camping and exploring the back trails of Alberta and we continue to stay true to our roots. We have mapped many trails and get out camping often as possible.  Occasionally we even leave our rigs behind to enjoy other types of recreation.

The Trail Goes On Forever and The Party Never Ends
We are also a very social club and as our numbers grow so does our gatherings. Live music is now featured at our larger events. The annual Thanksgiving Bash and HRC have seen recording artists take to the Highrider Stage. Though we like to party we welcome and encourage families to join in on the fun regardless of age.

Our Future Goals
